Micranthemum Umbrosum, sometimes known as Monte Carlo, is an excellent foreground plant for small aquariums. It forms a fast-growing carpet in the front of the aquarium with compact, spherical, and fresh light green leaves on creeping stalks.

 

It’s a wonderful light green plant that shoots runners horizontally across the substrate in a matter of weeks, creating a full and rich carpet.

Although a high-tech setup is not required for this plant, it helps promote the faster spread and healthier greener leaves.

 

Micranthemum Umbrosum demands water with a pH of 6.0-7.5 and a temperature of 68-82 degrees Fahrenheit. For healthy growth, it prefers moderate to high light and a nutrient-rich medium with a fert dosage. It does, however, necessitate a high dose of CO₂ for optimal growth.
