Hemianthus Micranthemoides, also known as Pearl Weed or Pearl Grass, is a popular aquarium plant cherished for its fine texture and versatility in aquascaping. With its tiny round bright green leaves and delicate stems, it creates a lush, bushy effect—perfect for foregrounds, midgrounds, or even as a carpeting plant in freshwater tanks.
Appearance & Growth
- Size: 5–15 cm (2–6 inches) tall, compact and bushy.
- Leaves: Very small (1–2 mm), rounded, bright green, growing in opposite pairs.
- Stems: Thin and flexible; grows upright in dense groups or creeps horizontally in open areas.
- Growth Style: Can be trimmed into low carpets or left taller for midground filler.
Care Requirements
- Lighting: Moderate to high for dense, compact growth.
