The Otocinclus Catfish (commonly called Otos or Dwarf Suckermouth Catfish) is one of the most popular freshwater algae eaters for planted aquariums. Peaceful, hardy, and effective at controlling algae, Otos are an excellent choice for community tanks and nano aquariums.

Appearance
Otocinclus Catfish have slender, torpedo-shaped bodies with a light brown base color and darker horizontal stripes or spots. Their unique suckermouth allows them to scrape algae from aquarium glass, plants, and decorations.
- Peaceful and social; best kept in groups of 5 or more
- Constant grazers, spending most of their time cleaning algae
- Compatible with shrimp, tetras, rasboras, and other small peaceful fish
- Avoid housing with aggressive or predatory species
