Drum Filter

All-in-One Combi Drum Filter, which is an automated, multi-stage water filtration system designed specifically for large koi fish ponds, aquariums, and aquaculture setups.

How It Works

• Mechanical Filtration: Pond water feeds into a rotating, high-density internal sieve drum (usually between 50 to 120 microns). This mesh catches floating debris, fish feces, and solid organic waste.
• Self-Cleaning Mechanism: As the drum screen catches debris and begins to clog, the internal water level shifts. Sensors trigger a brief cleaning cycle: a high-pressure rinse pump sprays the drum from the outside while it rotates, flushing the trapped debris down a waste gutter and directly out to a sewer or drainage line.
• Biological Filtration: After passing through the drum, the pre-cleared water flows into a moving-bed biological chamber. This section houses biological media (such as Hel-X or K1 micro-media) kept in motion via air stones. Beneficial nitrifying bacteria grow on this media, turning toxic ammonia and nitrites into safer nitrates.
• UV Sterilization: An integrated Submersible UVC (Ultraviolet) lamp irradiates the flowing water. This treats floating unicellular algae (eliminating green water issues) and neutralizes harmful waterborne pathogens
