விளக்கம்
The Manacapuru Red Back Angelfish—often called the Red-Shoulder Angelfish—is a highly sought-after geographic variant of the standard freshwater angelfish. It originates specifically from the Rio Manacapuru region in the Amazon Basin of Brazil. Unlike artificially created color strains, this vivid red coloration is a natural wild-type adaptation.
Characteristics
- Vibrant Bi-Coloration: They feature a striking, intense red or deep orange hue across the nape, upper back, and shoulders, which creates a sharp contrast against their silver-green bodies.
- Classic Wild Striping: Three bold, vertical black bars run across the body and fins.
- Elegant Fin Profile: They possess exceptionally long, sweeping dorsal, anal, and pelvic fins. The pelvic fins often develop a distinct bluish-white tint as they mature.
- Delayed Coloration: Juveniles look like standard silver angelfish; their signature fiery red back only begins to develop as they reach about 6 months of age.
