Key Characteristics

• Intense Coloration: Mature males sport a breathtaking, solid ruby-red body that is strikingly partitioned by two thick, deep-black horizontal stripes. 
• Sexual Dimorphism: Males are significantly brighter red and feature a small, pale white spot at the base of their dorsal fin. Females are slightly larger, have a rounder abdomen, and exhibit more subdued, pale tones. 
• Diminutive Size: Stays tiny, maturing to an adult length of only 2.5 to 3.5 cm (1 to 1.4 inches), making them perfect candidates for nano setups.
